Drugstore Finds: Makeup

Here is a little cosmetic secret: most blushes and eye shadows are all the same. They are all colored, pressed powders, so you don't have to spend $15 on one color. As far as most other makeup is concerned you generally get what you pay for, but there are some nice, inexpensive options:

Lash Blast is a great mascara with a special wand which allows more product to get on each lash without clumping. Remember to replace your mascara every three months.

MAC's Fluidline is the ultimate gel liner. While drugstore labels are coming out with their own versions now, Wet n Wild has had one for a while, and it's good. It even comes with an angle brush, which is my preferred applicator.

NYX Cosmetics has a lot of fun colors that are similar to MAC, but at a fraction of the price. It's hard to find it in stores, but if you are in the Michiana area you can buy it at Emblazon Salon.

N.Y.C.'s bronzer is a matte that will give you a natural tan glow when applied with a light hand and a big, fluffy brush.

Super Lustrous is a classic line of creamy lipstick that comes in great colors.

Rimmel's Spice (011) is an excellent neutral that works with almost any completion under almost any lipstick.

Lip Inflation works by slightly irritating the lips enough to make them react by swelling. That's what the tingling is about.

Do you have a drugstore product you can't live without? Let me know!
